LinenFriday is a family atelier in the medieval heart of Škofja Loka. Denis, the founder, has personally cut and sewn every piece for more than twenty years — from natural European linen, with deep respect for old craft traditions.

The philosophy is simple: a love of nature, attention to every detail, and fabric that only grows more beautiful with the years. What you can’t find in the range, he’ll often sew to your measure.

Where do your fabrics come from?
All our fabrics are 100% linen. I buy most of them directly from a linen mill in Lithuania — without intermediaries — and also work with a trusted Lithuanian supplier. I compare every fabric and select each one by hand. All are certified to OEKO-TEX® STANDARD 100.
Why does long-fibre linen matter?
Linen is made from flax fibres, and the length of those fibres influences the properties of the fabric. Long fibres are spun into a smooth, strong yarn: the fabric is soft, drapes beautifully, is resistant to pilling and becomes softer with every wash. Short fibres (tow) are cheaper but produce a hairier yarn, which can make the fabric feel scratchy, pill and wear out faster. Having worked with flax since 2003, I know the difference — long-fibre quality is my benchmark when choosing fabrics.
Is everything handmade?
Yes. Every piece is cut and sewn in my studio in Škofja Loka, in small batches.
Can I order bedding in a custom size?
Yes. Choose a “Made to order” item or write to me with your measurements. It takes about one week if the fabric is in stock, or up to 30 days if the fabric needs to be ordered. Items made to your measurements cannot be returned unless they are defective.
Do you ship outside Slovenia?
Yes — to Germany, Switzerland and countries outside the EU. Within the EU, every country has its own packaging-recycling (EPR) rules and registrations; I'm working through them step by step so that I can soon ship to more EU countries. Shipping costs are shown at checkout. Ready-made items in stock leave the studio on the next working day; bedding is sewn for you and ships within 2–10 days.
Can I return an item?
Yes, within 30 days of delivery, without giving a reason — see the refund policy. Items made to your measurements are excluded.
How do I care for linen?
Wash linen gauze and gauze scarves at up to 40 °C, and all other linen at up to 60 °C. Natural-coloured and white linen can even be boiled. Do not use chlorine bleach. Shake the items a few times while they dry to help keep them soft. If linen has over-dried and feels stiff, mist it lightly with water. You can iron it at a high temperature if needed. Linen becomes softer with every wash.
Can I see the linen in person?
Yes, visit my shop at Mestni trg 19, Škofja Loka: Monday to Friday 9:00–12:00 and 14:00–18:00, Saturday 9:00–14:00. Closed on Sundays and public holidays.
Do you offer gift cards?
Yes, digital gift cards sent by email. The recipient can choose whatever they like.
Do you sell wholesale or whole rolls?
Yes, for fabric. Write to info@linenfriday.com.

Because the EU's packaging-recycling (EPR) rules differ from country to country, I can't ship to other EU countries yet — I'm working on it.
